The 24 Heures Motos: a race for all
Several measures to further improve the spectator experience at next year’s 24 Heures Motos have been announced.
After 77,200 fans attended the 46th edition of the traditional EWC season opener last April – the highest since 2011 – every effort is being made to ensure the event can be savoured by all attendees.
The ACO is making changes to the access rules and procedures to further improve accessibility and security.
Steps include the requirement for camping areas to fall silent from midnight and until 08h00 during the race as a consideration to riders, team personnel and event officials needing to rest and also out of respect to residents.
Motorcycles modified with the intention of making unnecessarily loud noise or capable of producing large flames will not be allowed on site. A number of other access restrictions and limitations have been introduced and further information is available at https://www.24h-motos.com/fr/info/evolutions-2024

Team Slider Endurance might have registered a DNF at the start of its Honda-powered adventure in the FIM Endurance World Championship, but the French outfit left Le Mans following the 24 Heures Motos season opener last month buoyed by the potential in store.Having swapped Yamaha for Honda for its Dunlop-equipped Superstock bid in 2024, Team Slider Endurance ran as high as third among the FIM Endurance World Cup contenders in 10th overall. But it was ultimately unable to go the distance with riders Jacopo Cretaro, Charles Diller, Daniel González and Rodi Pak due to damage sustained in a crash at approximately 03h45.“Following numerous repairs, we took the decision to ensure the safety of the riders and refrained from returning to racing,” a statement from Team Slider Endurance read. “But it was a more than positive result as our crew was fighting for third place in stock and 10th overall. The potential is there, the championship is not finished. We will do our best to come back stronger, we proved it this weekend we can do it, together.”Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium hosts round two of the EWC season, the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, from 6-8 June.

A rising star of the FIM Endurance World Cup, 29-year-old Briton Tom Ward is racing with Honda power for TRT27 AZ Moto in the Dunlop-supplied category in 2024. This is what’s he’s had to say ahead of the 8 Hours of Spa Motos in Belgium next month.TRT27 AZ Moto’s Honda alliance began with seventh place among the Superstock teams in the 24 Heures Motos last month. Was it a case of satisfaction or frustration?“It was a bit bitter-sweet because it was the first proper time when, from a purely selfish point of view, I’d ridden and didn’t really put a foot wrong but there were a couple of mistakes and technical problems with the bike. Obviously it was a new bike for the team and it wasn’t an easy weekend but I felt I rode a really good race and we definitely deserved to be stood on the podium. At the same time, it’s unbelievable to think we finished seventh because if you’d asked me at five in the morning, I thought the race was completely over. But it just goes to show that you should never give up. It was good to get seventh but it didn’t show our potential, which was definitely top three.”
